Margaine, Special Club, 1999 and Pierre Gimonnet, Oenophile Extra Brut, 2000 are both great values in my opinion when compared to their 'still' counterparts in Bourgogne.

I have a problem with the Vilmart, Cuvee Rubis, N.V. It's charming and delicious for sure but when I tried to 'translate' it to a still wine, it didn't seem like a 300 NIS wine. So the 'bubbly' overhead here is a bit steep.

One thing to keep in mind is how much you personally are willing to accept Champagne as food wines. If you're biased towards using them as an appertif only, my arguments regarding their cost performance might be rendered invalid.2GrandCruhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16677145557411276062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3178846643922349518.post-44396948906912129682008-03-26T13:14:00.000+02:002008-03-26T13:14:00.000+02:00sounds like great value wines.i would be glad to k...sounds like great value wines.
i would be glad to know your opinion on these bottles as WINES and their cost performance. so far i only read the press which i must admit thrilled me, but i prefer a buying costumer like yourself.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
